You Can Now Use ChatGPT Without an Account
The first stage in OpenAI’s strategy to increase accessibility to its AI tools is to enable account-free use of ChatGPT. Since its November 2022 launch, the AI chatbot has required an account.
With over 100 million weekly users across over 185 countries, ChatGPT already has a large user base. However, by eliminating the login requirement, OpenAI wants to draw even more people to the site with this latest change.
Though OpenAI is gradually rolling out the feature globally, keep in mind that not everyone will be able to use ChatGPT without an account right away. Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly coming.
It’s essential to remember that OpenAI uses ChatGPT interactions by default in order to improve its models for all users. Nevertheless, even without an account, you can quickly disable this function through Settings if you would rather not have the chatbot record your conversations.
There are still some advantages to creating an account, such saving all of your chats and having the ability to revisit them at a later time. Creating an account also unlocks voice interactions and personalized instructions.
The adoption of “additional content safeguards,” as outlined by OpenAI, would include the barring of prompts and generations in a wider range of categories. Nevertheless, specifics about these precautions have not been made public.
