Speculation surrounding the design updates for the anticipated iPhone 16 series has been rampant. A recent expose consolidates these updates, showcasing them through a leaked image that captures the entire lineup’s redesign.
Leak specialist Sonny Dickson has recently disseminated images on social media platform X, depicting metal mockups of the iPhone 16 range. These mockups serve as crucial blueprints for accessory manufacturers, guiding them in crafting compatible products.
The leaked dummies provide a comprehensive look at the iPhone 16 family, shedding light on the variations in size among the models. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro are revealed to share closely matched dimensions. Positioned as a median option, the iPhone 16 Plus bridges the size gap to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the collection’s most sizable option.
Such leaks seem to affirm previous speculations about the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max enlarging their displays to 6.27 inches and 6.85 inches, respectively. This increase from the former 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches is expected to be balanced by slimmer bezels, thus maintaining a compact profile.
The standard iPhone 16 and the Plus variant are predicted to retain their screen sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. As a result, the Pro model’s dummy suggests a slight size advantage over the base iPhone 16 model.
An exciting update is the universal inclusion of the Action Button on all new models, positioned on the left. A novel Capture button, designated for camera operations, will find its place on the right side. Designed with a tactile feel, this button will also support swipe gestures for zooming, replacing the space traditionally occupied by the mmWave antenna in the current US models.
Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to introduce a Rose color variant, utilizing a color application technique previously seen on the iPhone 15 series.
